My Top Three of PhotoReading videos ... uncovered!
I went out to gather the best of the PhotoReading videos on the Internet ... and provide you with some comments to really undestand what is going on. It might be that you saw some of these before, but did not hear the full story.
Take PhotoReading with you where ever you go!
This is the first ever PhotoReading video I ever made. Actually, I made it first in Finnish but chose to add an English narrator on top (yes, that's me speaking).
The funny thing was that I newer advertised the video in any way. I never told anyone about this. But it spread through word of mouth and is one of the most watched videos on PhotoReading.
This really shows how much people are searching for this subject and wanting to learn more about it.
PhotoReading in the news - cover story by Gary Rebstock
I thought I'd give you guys (and girls) a little "behind the scenes" story to one of the most famous PhotoReading videos ever - the Gary Rebstock Channel 9 episode on PhotoReading.
The story goes like this: In February 2008 I met with news anchor Gary Rebstock, an award-winning journalist, on a trip to the US. He then revealed, how the piece he did on PhotoReading years back came about.
The funny thing was that as Gary first heard about this new method, PhotoReading, and it being taught in his home town, Minneapolis, he was sure it was a complete hoax. He set out to make a quick story to blow off this scam, as he then thought.
Gary then contacted Dr. J Michael Bennett, a professor specialised in reading and gave him a copy of the PhotoReading Self-study to review. Gary's idea was that Dr. Bennett surely would prove this "PhotoReading-thing" would not work.
But then, he was astonished as Dr. Bennett got back to him to tell the news: PhotoReading actually could work!
Gary then went to test it himself. He didn't have the time to take the 2,5-day PhotoReading seminar, so he had Paul Scheele, developer of PhotoReading Whole Mind System, whip him through the process. Only in 30 minutes Gary saw the benefits of PhotoReading ... and the angle on his news piece was totally changed.
Nowadays this legendary news episode, originally aimed to prove PhotoReading to be a scam, is considered one of the best advertisements for PhotoReading. We had a good lauch together as Gary told this story to me.
Here the video - enjoy!
Derren Brown with his "Photographic Memory" Experiment
Derren Brown did a very popular TV-show in the UK, which spread out the world both on television and the internet. In one episode he also demonstrated his skills in PhotoReading.
Actually, Derren has developed his PhotoReading skills (or skills of using his mind to the fullest) so far that it is already Photographic Memory. There is a difference between PhotoReading and Photographic memory, which I want you to know.
Photographic memory is having the image representation in your mind of something real (something that appears in the real world in physical form). Some one with photographic memory can access this image in his/her mind and describe it to detail. With books, they might see the page with the eyes of their mind and just find relevant chapters.
Some people have photographic memory from birth and I have not heard of reliable ways of developing photographic memory through some program. (I admit that I haven't really searched for these, so there might be some).
PhotoReading, on the other hand, is a technique, that can learned by anyone to use their whole mind for reading and speed up their reading 3 to 10 times from what they were capable of before. And literally anyone can get results with PhotoReading - 98 % of the people who complete the PhotoReading course have success with the techniques. (The 2 % that are not included comes from people who just want the refund, which is provided if asked for)
Actually, in the olden days we PhotoReading Instructors used to have "The Dictionary Game" as a part of the seminar - and it is still included in the self-study. This sort of borders to photographic memory.
In the dictionary game you PhotoRead a dictionary and ask a friend to pull out words so you can tell where they appear. This is a game which helps you to understand how your other-than-conscious mind tells you about the information you have PhotoRead.
In the beginning you might only get 1 right out of ten. With practice your "rate" gets better. The best I heard of was a PhotoReader who could know 96 % ot the words his friend pulled out of the dictionary.
But this I want to make clear: there is no need for you to develop Photographic memory to get there results with PhotoReading. Even a beginning PhotoReader can expect to read a book in one third of the time - without any signs of photographic memory. This comes from the fact that with PhotoReading you learn to use your mind better.
Derren here has done a lot with his mind and learned several different techniques. It might be that he was gifted with Photographic memory from birth or he might have developed it through practicing PhotoReading, accelerated learning, NLP, hypnosis, meditation, and other mind sciences.
You might consider Derren's example as something that you also can learn with diligent practice of PhotoReading and other techniques.

"I PhotoRead 'The Quiz Setters's Quiz Book' five times. My son and I got into the habit of going through a couple of quizzes each time he came over. I was getting nearly all of them right. I scored 1,996 out of 2,000! I contacted the author who said people usually get two or three wrong out of 30. He said 'I don't think I could have got that many questions right. And I wrote the book!'"
